Media
Images and files are the media library, and Maxi can manage all of it — bringing new files in, attaching them to content, setting featured images, and keeping the library tidy.
The Media capability covers your WordPress media library: uploading files, organizing them, setting featured images, and maintaining the library. It pairs naturally with AI Generation — images the agent generates land here automatically — but it also handles files you bring from elsewhere.
Getting media in
The agent can add files to your library two ways:
- From a URL — point it at an image or file on the web and it pulls it into the library.
- From a file you provide — hand it the file’s data directly.
It can bring in images specifically, or any file type (PDFs, documents, and so on), and set the title, alt text, and caption as it uploads.
“Upload this image from [URL] and set its alt text to ‘Our storefront at dusk’.”
Organizing media
Once files are in the library, the agent manages how they relate to your content:
- Set a featured image — assign (or remove) the lead image on a post or product.
- Attach or detach — link a media item to a parent post, or unlink it so it stands alone.
“Set this as the featured image for the new blog post.”
Browsing the library
The agent can find and inspect what’s already there:
- List attachments — filtered by file type, parent, or search text, and paged for large libraries.
- Get an attachment’s details — its metadata, available sizes, MIME type.
“Show me all the PDFs in the media library.”
“What images aren’t attached to any post?”
Maintaining the library
For upkeep, the agent can:
- Regenerate thumbnails — rebuild all the image sizes for an attachment, useful after a theme change alters the sizes your site needs.
- Delete an attachment — permanently remove a media item and its files.
“Regenerate thumbnails for this image — the new theme uses different dimensions.”
What it’s good for
- Bringing in assets — pulling images from a URL or uploading files, with proper alt text and captions set as they arrive.
- Featured images — setting the lead image on content as part of a publishing flow.
- Library housekeeping — finding unattached or wrong-type files, regenerating sizes, clearing out what’s unused.
- Pairing with generation — AI-generated images arrive in the library ready to attach and feature.
In summary: Media is how your agent manages your library — upload files from a URL or directly (images or any type, with alt text and captions), set featured images, attach and detach items, browse and inspect what’s there, regenerate thumbnails, and delete what you don’t need. Generated images land here too, so it’s the home for every visual asset on your site.
