SEO
Maxi’s SEO capability is focused and specific: it sets the Yoast SEO title and meta description on your taxonomy terms — your categories, tags, and product categories.
If your site uses Yoast SEO, Maxi can set the SEO fields on your taxonomy terms — the categories, tags, product categories, and other terms that often have their own archive pages on your site. For each term, the agent can set the SEO title and the meta description that Yoast uses for that term’s page.
Requires Yoast SEO. This capability writes Yoast’s fields, so the Yoast SEO plugin must be active. Without it, the agent will tell you rather than fail quietly.
What it does
“Set the SEO description for the ‘Outerwear’ product category to ‘Shop our range of weatherproof coats and jackets, built for the season.'”
The agent writes the title, the description, or both, for a term you name. If the term didn’t have any Yoast SEO data yet, Maxi creates it — and it updates Yoast’s modern data layer too, so the change takes effect on the live page immediately rather than waiting for a re-save in the Yoast interface.
Why this is useful
Term SEO is one of the more tedious things to maintain by hand — category and tag archive pages are easy to overlook, and setting their SEO fields means clicking into each term’s editor in turn. Being able to ask an agent to set them, especially across several terms in one conversation, takes a fiddly job off your plate:
“Write and set SEO descriptions for all my top-level product categories.”
(That kind of request pairs naturally with AI Generation — the agent can draft the descriptions and set them in one go.)
The current scope
It’s worth being clear about the boundaries of this capability today: it covers Yoast SEO fields on taxonomy terms. Setting SEO fields on individual posts and products, or reading Yoast’s SEO and readability scores, aren’t part of Maxi’s own abilities at present. Where you need those, you’d use the Yoast interface directly.
In summary: Maxi’s SEO capability sets the Yoast SEO title and meta description on taxonomy terms (categories, tags, product categories), creating the record if needed and updating Yoast’s live data so changes show immediately. It requires Yoast SEO active, and pairs well with AI Generation for writing the descriptions. Its current scope is term SEO specifically — post-level SEO and score reading aren’t part of Maxi’s abilities today.
